TEWKESBURY SWIMMING CLUB

Equipment

Training aids - Short training fins are the first training aid you should look to obtain.  Additionally, a kickboard, pull buoy, hand paddles and a snorkel, stored in a mesh bag, are required from Junior squad onwards.

Water bottle - a full, plastic water bottle with a sippy or flip lid (no glass or screw tops) should be brought to every session.  If your swimmer regularly finishes their drink then please consider bringing two.

Goggles - it is worth getting some good fitting goggles that are more likely to stay on when diving.  These are usually the ones with smaller lenses and rubber seals that fit in the eye socket.  Something like the Speedo Vengeance or Speedo Speedsocket googles would be ideal.  Under 13s are likely to still need child/youth size goggles.

Swim hats - TSC hats can be purchased from Helen D'Souza.  If you would like to place an order for a personalised swim hat please see the occasional posts on the closed TSC Members Facebook group.  The next order will be placed in April.

Swim costume - boys should wear knee-length tight-fitting swim trunks called Jammers in preference over swim shorts.  If you are competing at the highest level race suits must be FINA approved (L1, Regional or National level).

Clothing - most team kit is available on our Macron Sports Hub Gloucester page.   In addition, hoodies are available through Clare Price.  Water polo kit is available through Ellen Heeley.

Land Training - comfortable, breathable shorts, t-shirt and supportive trainers are required for land training.  Don't forget your water bottle.

Competitions - swimmers must wear a TSC swim hat and poolside top, if at all possible.
