Junior Fun Galas

Junior fun galas are a fantastic introduction to competitive galas for young swimmers from all levels of the club. 

Races are 25m-200m, depending on age group, with lots of team relays and plenty of cheering poolside as TSC competes against 3 other teams for points in a round robin format.  TSC will host one of the galas.

Show your availabilty via the Events menu in the SportsEngine Motion app when sign up is open.  Dates for 2023 are 9th March, 13th April, 18th May and (TBC) June.

Eligibility...

Your swimmer is eligible to compete in 2024 if they are aged under 15 on the date of each gala.

Coaches will pick the team from the available swimmers.  It may not be possible for all swimmers to attend every gala.  Coaches will determine the events for each swimmer. 

On the day....

After signing in with the Tewkesbury team manager, swimmers will warm up under the guidance of their coach.  Swimmers all sit together poolside, parents and excited siblings can watch from the spectator areas if they are not helping poolside.

Team managers and team captains will prepare the swimmers for their races and get them there on time.

All swimmers must wear a TSC swimming hat (hats will be available to purchase on the day).  If swimmers do not have a TSC poolside top please bring a blue/yellow t-shirt.

There is no entry fee to swim but there may be a small charge to spectate.

Please bring swimsuit, goggles, hat, towel (and spares), water and nut-free snacks.

If you are unable to attend after having been picked for the team please let us know as soon as possible so that we can arrange a substitute.

The whole event will be completed in about 2 hours.  Swimmers must not leave the venue before signing out with the team manager.

Please note...

The junior fun galas are not licensed events, race times will not be registered with Swim England or available to use as entry times for other events.
