Congratulations to the Bristol English Channel Swim Team (B.E.S.T.) who completed a channel swim team in 13hrs 35 mins on Saturday 4th September.  Tewkesbury's Rebecca Sheppard - having completed all the training but unfortunately had the worst role of all as Reserve (along with Ellie Aris from Southwold).  Both girls should be super proud of themselves for all their hard work over the last 20 months and for behaving with great dignity - stirling qualities for great athletes - we are sure they will both be champions in the future.  The channel swim has set a new record for the youngest relay team last set 42 years ago to the day and has also raised alot of money for the Childrens Hospices UK and Surf Life Saving GB (they monies raised by all the children).
